DIAS4 – Actively enrolling patients

Acute Ischemic Stroke Study:  To determine whether Desmoteplase is effective and safe in the treatments of patients with acute ischemic stroke when given within 3 to 9 hours from onset of stroke symptoms; Patient age: 18 – 85

POINT – Actively enrolling patients

TIA or Minor Ischemic Stroke Trial:  To determine if Plavix 75 mg PO (after loading dose) is effective in preventing major ischemic vascular events at 90 days when initiated within 12 hours in patients receiving  Aspirin 50-325 mg/day; Patient age: 18 and older

RESPECT - Closed

Stroke/PFO closure trial:  To determine if PFO closure is superior to medical treatment of PFO; Randomized to either Aspirin/Plavix/Coumadin or AMPLATZER PFO closure device; Patient age: 18 thru 60

WAKE-UP – Initiation phase and regulatory review

Acute Ischemic Stroke Study: To determine the safety of the study drug IV tPA in stroke patients who wake up with the symptoms of ischemic stroke; Patient age: 18 thru 80

SHINE – Initiation phase and regulatory review

Acute Ischemic Stroke Study: To determine the efficacy and safety of tight glucose control to a target range of 80-130 mg/dl with IV insulin infusion in hyperglycemic acute ischemic stroke patients within 12 hours of symptom onset; Patient age: 18 and older

Humanitarian Use Device (HUD): Used for stabilization in intracranial aneurysm

CODMAN ENTERPRISE – Actively enrolling patients

Humanitarian Use Device (HUD): Used for stabilization in intracranial aneurysm
