Saint Thomas Hospital Media Policies

To interview Saint Thomas Hospital or Saint Thomas Health associates, physicians or other health experts, consider the Communications Department your primary contact. We are available to assist all news media with questions about our hospital, patients, locating an expert for a story or obtaining more information about a news release or event.

Advance notice of on-site interviews is requested so we can arrange interviews with experts or obtain appropriate patient permission if necessary. To ensure federal patient privacy standards are upheld for all hospital patients and their families and in accordance with Saint Thomas Hospital/Saint Thomas Health policy, a member of the Communications team must accompany all reporters and photographers while on hospital property.
 
Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday with Communications staff available by cell phone or pager after hours and on weekends. During office hours, call 615-284-5446 or email kristi.gooden@stthomas.org.  After normal office hours, call 615-428-1039.
