Making a difference....Guardian Angels Recognized:

Guardian AngelTheresa Durham, a Licensed Practical Nurse on the General Medicine Unit, was the first Guardian Angel named at Saint Thomas. "Theresa's beauty and goodness come into another person's life in the form of compassionate care. She is respected and trusted for her personal vision of nursing – aspiring to ensure superior care is provided to those entrusted to her."

Guardian AngelCameka Sibert, an R.N. in Saint Thomas Hosptial’s Emergency Room, was the first ER staff member to receive a Guardian Angel pin. “I try hard to make sure I give my patients a good first impression when they enter the ER. I always keep them informed of the plan for their care and what will happen to them next. I’ve noticed they really appreciate that.”

Guardian AngelIn October 2008, Dr. Olafsson, a cardiologist with The Heart Group, received his 10th recognition through the Guardian Angel program, earning him a gold Guardian Angel pin. “It is profoundly rewarding to know that I have touched the lives of my patients and their families so deeply that they have given back to the hospital through a donation in my honor.”
