Theresa Durham, a Licensed Practical Nurse on the General Medicine Unit, was the first Guardian Angel named at Saint Thomas. "Theresa's beauty and goodness come into another person's life in the form of compassionate care. She is respected and trusted for her personal vision of nursing – aspiring to ensure superior care is provided to those entrusted to her."
Dr. James Lancaster has been honored a remarkable 50 times by his patients and was recently awarded a platinum Guardian Angel pin in recognition of this monumental achievement and his truly compassionate care!
In October 2008, Dr. Olafsson, a cardiologist with The Heart Group, received his 10th recognition through the Guardian Angel program, earning him a gold Guardian Angel pin. “It is profoundly rewarding to know that I have touched the lives of my patients and their families so deeply that they have given back to the hospital through a donation in my honor.”
