Honor & Memorial Gifts

Many gifts to the Foundation are made to honor a friend, commemorate an important holiday or life event, pay tribute to a special doctor or memorialize a loved one.

An honorary donation to the Foundation is a popular alternative to traditional gifts on birthdays, anniversaries and special events such as Mother's Day, Father's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Memorial funds are often designated by friends and families at the time of the death of a loved one for contributions in that individual's honors.

Tribute Options:

• Make on online donation today. Honorees and/or their families are notified by personal letter of any gifts made in their honor. For memorial donations, the Foundation sends a personal letter to family members letting them know about gifts made in memory of their loved one.
• Guardian Angels. Pay tribute to a special doctor, nurse or caregiver that made a difference in your stay at Saint Thomas Hospital.
• Start a Named Fund. Many donors choose to establish a Named Fund with the Foundation to recognize a loved one.
• Contact Us. Large donations may be used to fund a more visible memorial, such as a building, a room in one of our hospital facilities or other venues suitable for a permanent plaque. Call Greg Pope at (615) 222-6370 or send an email to gpope@stthomas.org.
