Our program helps you access safe and effective therapies such as Acupuncture,Massage therapy, Aesthetician Services and Yoga. These Complementary Services are offered at our Baptist and Saint Thomas hospitals and are recommended for use in combination with your traditional cancer care. You should always consult with you doctor about any therapies you are considering. Acupuncture can help reduce pain, chronic headaches, nausea, menopausal symptoms, and assist with the bodies natural healing abilities to promote physical and emotional well being. Massage Therapy can help reduce pain, fatigue, depression, muscular tension, stress and anxiety. Aesthetics services include facials, skin care, waxing, eyelash and brow tinting. Facials and skin treatments are gentle, healing, relaxing and can rejuvenate the skin during and after chemotherapy or radiation treatment All of our pracitioners have specialty certifications in working with cancer patients and all of them have had experience in hospital based clinical care. - Clinical Counseling services
Our licensed clinical counselor has over 30 years experience as a counselor with specialties in helping patients and clients address issues such as depression, loss and sorrow, anxiety, body image, and self esteem. - Rehabilitation (requires a physician referral for insurance coverage)
Our Life Therapies and Baptist Sports Medicine clinics offer physical therapy for oncology patients as well as the general orthopedic patient populations. Other treatment programs in our rehabilitation clinics include Lymphedema, Womens Health, Stretching and Strength conditioning, Pain management, Balance problems and Endurance training. - ABC Program (After Breast Cancer)
Funded by the Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition this program provides nutritional counseling, emotional support and exercise programs for breast cancer patients and survivors and is available at the Brentwood, Maryland Farms and Murfressboro YMCA’s. - H.O.P.E Program (Healing Through Optimism Persistence and Exercise)
This Breast Cancer Wellness and Outreach Scholarship Program is a hospital based cancer care program at Saint Thomas and Baptist hospitals. The H.O.P.E program seeks to restore optimum health in women through physical activity during and after treatment. Our exersice physiologists are uniquely qualified to address the unique needs of patients and survivors recovering from surgery, chemotherapy and radiation, and they provide support and encouragement to help participants incorporate physical fitness as part of a lifelong wellness choice. - Healing Garden
Our garden is an organic vegetable garden and a beautiful flower garden that is designed and planted and maintained by patients, survivors and employees. It is a place to nourish the soul, meditate, visit with old and new friends ,harvest the foods to share with others and cut and arrange flowers to deliver to recently diagnosed patients in our hospitals. It is located on the Saint Thomas Campus in front of the Seton Support Center.
- Yoga
Beginning and intermediate yoga classes are offered every Saturday in our Saint Thomas Wellness Center from 10:30-11:30. Fee is 8-12 dollars per class with a discount on purchase of multiple classes. This class combines pilates and gentle yoga postures designed for beginners and intermediates to help develop muscle tone, flexibility, improved posture, increased range of motion of still joints. Many participants report an increases sense of well being with regular practice and a decrease in stress and anxiety as well. This is an excellent form of exercise and movement for not only patients and survivors but for any community member who would like to attend.
- Camp Bluebired
A two and a half day weekend retreat where adult cancer patients and survivors are provided with education, support and encouragement in living life after a cancer diagnosis. For more information call 615-222-2074 or 222-6887
- Spiritual Counseling Services
As a faith based organization, we offer counselors, chaplains, and psychologists to assist you and your loved ones in need of spiritual or emotional support
- Hair Loss Consulting
Our professionally trained hairdressers, experienced in assisting cancer patients, offer compassionate, individualized hair-loss consultations, free of charge. Call (615) 977-7734

The American Cancer Society's Memorial Foundation Hope Lodge is a residential-type support center for cancer patients and their families who must travel away from home for treatment.
