Our services, programs, and our vast network of professionals provide the highest quality of care available for your mind, body and spirit.
Seton Support Services is a centralized resource that provides compassionate patient care, focused education, patient advocacy, integrative medicine and health and fitness programs. Our goal is to enhance the quality of life and empower our patients, their caregivers, families and our community with the resources they need when they need them.
Our ongoing and specialty classes are usually free of charge. Occasionally there are some classes that require a small fee.

Integrative Medicine is a treatment or therapy that is used in addition to conventional medicine. Acupuncture, herbs and supplements, massage therapy and yoga are all good examples of complimentary medicine The basic philosophy and principles of integrative medicine is a focus on treating the whole person and recognizing that physical, mental, spiritual and emotional well being are all interconnected and play an important part in your overall health.
Our Integrative Medicine Program helps you access safe and effective therapies that include Acupuncture, Massage Therapy and Yoga.
All of our Integrative Services are open to our patients, family members, hospital employees and health care professionals. We also welcome and invite the general public. Some services are provided by independent licensed professionals (non-Saint Thomas Health employees):
Acupuncture is a painless and safe method of treatment that can help reduce pain, chronic headaches, nausea, menopausal symptoms and assist with the bodies’ natural healing abilities to promote physical and emotional well being.
Massage therapy can help reduce pain, fatigue, depression, muscular tension, stress and anxiety. Types of massage available include swedish relaxation, cranial sacral, deep tissue, sports and myofascial.
Dietary Consultations - appointments can be made with our registered dietitians. (free of charge)
Rehabilitation - requires a physician referral for insurance coverage
Our Life Therapies and Saint Thomas Outpatient Rehabilitation
clinics offer physical therapy for oncology patients as well as the general orthopedic patient populations. Other treatment programs in our rehabilitation clinics include Lymphedema, Women's Health, Stretching and Strength conditioning, Pain management, Balance problems and Endurance training. Health and Wellness
- ABC Program (After Breast Cancer)
Funded by the Tennessee Breast Cancer Coalition this program provides nutritional counseling, emotional support and exercise programs for breast cancer patients and survivors and is available at the Brentwood, Maryland Farms and Murfreesboro YMCA’s. - H.O.P.E Program (Healing Through Optimism Persistence and Exercise)
The H.O.P.E program seeks to restore optimum health through physical activity during and after treatment. Our exercise physiologists are uniquely qualified to address the unique needs of patients and survivors recovering from surgery, chemotherapy and radiation, and they provide support and encouragement to help participants incorporate physical fitness as part of a lifelong wellness choice. Beginning and intermediate yoga classes are offered every Saturday in our Saint Thomas Wellness Center from 10:30-11:30. Fee is 8-12 dollars per class with a discount on purchase of multiple classes. This class combines pilates and gentle yoga postures designed for beginners and intermediates to help develop muscle tone, flexibility, improved posture, increased range of motion of still joints. Many participants report an increases sense of well being with regular practice and a decrease in stress and anxiety as well. This is an excellent form of exercise and movement for not only patients and survivors but for any community member who would like to attend.
A two and a half day weekend retreat where adult cancer patients and survivors are provided with education, support and encouragement in living life after a cancer diagnosis. For more information call 615-222-3847.
Spiritual Counseling Services
As a faith based organization, we offer counselors, chaplains, and psychologists to assist you and your loved ones in need of spiritual or emotional support.

Conveniently located across the hall from the Center for Breast Health in Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital, Pretty in Pink offers products and services that assist breast cancer patients throughout their journey to help maintain a dignified, positive self-image.

The American Cancer Society's Memorial Foundation Hope Lodge is a residential-type support center for cancer patients and their families who must travel away from home for treatment. The Lodge offers free lodging facilities in a warm, caring, supportive environment that is conducive to the special needs of those who stay there.

For family members of patients undergoing cancer treatment who cannot afford accommodation, Seton Lodge offers overnight accommodations at a reduced rate.
